Woman Arrested For Threatening To Kill Federal Judge Overseeing Trump Jan. 6th Case

Perhaps given the vitriol with which the former president has approached all of the legal proceedings he's facing, this isn't surprising. But a woman has been arrested over threats made to District of D.C. judge Tanya Chutkan -- the judge presiding over the case against Donald Trump in the false electors case.
According to reports, Texas woman Abigail Jo Shry was arrested and charged for making a threatening call to the federal courthouse. Shry's threats were directed at Judge Chutkan and Representative Sheila Jackson Lee.
The threatening call began with Shry saying, "Hey, you stupid slave," followed by a racial slur. The call continued:
In the call, Shry told the judge, who is overseeing the election conspiracy case against Trump, "You are in our sights, we want to kill you," the documents said. Prosecutors allege Shry also said, "If Trump doesn't get elected in 2024, we are coming to kill you," and she threatened to kill U.S. Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, a Texas Democrat running for mayor of Houston, according to court documents.
In addition to Chutkan and Lee, Shry threatened "all Democrats in Washington D.C. and all people in the LGBTQ community."
Judge Chutkan has been the subject of Donald Trump's rants in the past, with unfounded claims of bias that have been echoed by the far right.
