Family Of Promising Young Biglaw Partner Files Wrongful Death Suit Over Fatal Car Crash
The family of the late Harry S. Jackson III, a young Fox Rothschild partner, has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against tractor-trailer driver, Cheick Yameogo, and the vehicle's owner, Western Express Inc., for allegedly causing the car crash that killed Jackson through negligence and recklessness.

Jackson was just 33 years old when he died on the PA Turnpike on July 29, 2022, after his car collided with a jackknifed tractor-trailer. Jackson's untimely death came about one week before he was supposed to get married, and just days before his 34th birthday. "I don't think an accident like this occurs without reckless conduct," said Feldman Shepherd co-managing shareholder Alan Feldman, who is representing the estate.

As noted in the complaint, Jackson's estate is not only bringing wrongful death and survival actions but is also seeking punitive damages. Feldman spoke to the Legal Intelligencer about Jackson's premature death, saying, "Everything was in front of him. An amazing life."

"This was clearly a young lawyer who was going places," Feldman said. "He was enormously respected by his colleagues." ...

Feldman said he did not know Jackson while he was alive but that he has spoken to Jackson's colleagues at Fox Rothschild. "I've never heard anyone described in such glowing terms," Feldman said.

Prior to his passing, Jackson was involved in Fox Rothschild's gaming practice and was developing an expertise in e-sports. He'd recently been named co-chair of firm's American Indian Law practice group, as he was a member of the Nanticoke Lenni-Lenape Tribal Nation who served as an elected member of its nine-member trial council.

"The world was his oyster," Feldman went on to say. "Harry's passing is just a reminder that we're on this earth for whatever time is allotted to us and that we have to enjoy every day."
